CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE AND VILLAGE HALL CHRISTMAS SOCIAL

Dear folks of Chaffcombe

As a result of the collection at the Carol Service and the Raffle at the Village Hall Social on Friday 16th December, a sum of £229.00 was raised. The proceeds of this event are traditionally donated to a charity.

This year we have decided to split the cash between  Chard Street Pastors and CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).  Therefore a cheque for £114.50 has been passed to each charity.

Thanks to all who donated at church, bought raffle tickets, provided raffle prizes, provided food for the buffet and assisted in many ways to make this a successful and enjoyable occasion.

Thanks also to Julian for providing two lovely Christmas Trees, one for the hall and one for the church.  Also to John for the very original entertainment.

Church Warden, Chairman of Village Hall Trustees
