Tuesday 7th June 2016, start at Chaffcombe Village Hall, TA20 4BH at 10.00 a.m. (postponed from 10th May because of inclement weather).
We try to arrange these monthly walks along our footpaths to sometimes clear the overgrowth on the footpaths and enjoy the scenery and each others’ company. If you have any secateurs etc, please feel free to bring them along – suitable gloves are advised if you are helping in this way.
Our route for this walk is:
Village Hall- Whitemore Hill-past Clock Tower- south to A30 via Mal’s Mead lane- cross A30- Kingston Well lane- Fosse Way (east)- Higher Kingston-across fields to A30 -cross A30- Tolleys Lane-Whitemore Hill- Summer Lane- Village Hall
With the growing season well under way there could be some cutting back to do en-route.
We may be crossing muddy and boggy fields so good foot ware is essential
All are welcome to come.
If you would like to take photographs as we go please can you send these to Mary Butler (firstname.lastname@example.org) for insertion on this website. Thanks
Dogs can accompany you provided they are always kept on a lead.
We monitor the paths and rights of way within the parish by monthly walks around different parts of the network. If you enjoy fresh air, exercise and good company join us for an hour or two on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 10.00 a.m at Chaffcombe Village Hall, TA20 4BH.
What to wear
Just bring stout shoes, wellies, waterproofs and water if the weather is hot. Please wear suitable footwear if wet as it may be very slippery and muddy in places.
Send us your walks
Please send in your favourite walks of Chaffcombe Parish.
We will place them here on the website. You can also include your photographs.
All of our walks are voluntary and walkers walk with us at their own risk. No liability is accepted.
