St Michael and All Angels Patronal Day service will be held on Sunday 27th September. This is incorporated as usual with the annual gift day. Envelopes will be distributed with the Septembers Link (please return to Stan or Geoff) so please give generously as the upkeep of the church is expensive and we owe it to future generations to maintain it for them to enjoy as a feature in the village, a beautiful historical building and a place to worship.
The Harvest Festival Service is on the same day at 10.30 followed by the Harvest Lunch in aid of Farm Africa and Water Aid. Lunch starts at 12.00 (sherry served at 11.30 after the service). At harvest time it is appropriate to help those less well off to produce crops hence Farm Africa, and living in our lovely Village (especially after this summer) it is easy to forget that some people still do not have access to clean water, hence Water Aid, so please come along to support these very worthwhile charities. An indication of numbers for lunch would be appreciated – Jean 64553 or Elaine 65909. If you cannot make the service you are welcome to come along to the lunch.
Donations of produce to decorate the Church would be very welcome. Please see Yvonne, Judy or Stan or you can pop them in the Church lobby. These will be available after the service with all donations going to Charity.
