Six people came on the ‘path clearing’ walk today. We walked up Knapps Lane and then across the fields to Sprays Hill cutting down the bamboos as we went but at the end of the bamboos we found there were two trees fallen down across the path, surrounded by stinging nettles. We cut away the ivy from the trees and cut down the stinging nettles and then had to climb over the two trees.
We then proceeded up the hill to Sprays Hill cutting as we went.
At the top two of us returned via Cricket Lane down to Chaffcombe Gate and home whilst the others took a more longer walk going across the golf course to Lydmarsh and back to Chaffcombe.
