Next walk: Tuesday 4th February 2014 starting from Chaffcombe Village Hall, TA20 4BH at 10.00 a.m. Weather permitting of course! Please wear suitable footwear as it may be very slippery and muddy!!!! All of our walks are voluntary and walkers walk with us at their own risk. No liability is accepted.
The route we hope to take will be one of the following depending on weather and whether walkers would like a shorter or longer walk on the day:
Chaffcombe Village Hall-Summer Lane-Whitemore Hill-Lydmarsh Farm-Young Copse-Windwhistle Golf Course and then either
Option 1 (shorter walk)
Golf Course continuation to Knapps Lane-Village Hall
Option 2 (longer walk)
Golf Course continuation to Cricket Cross-Sprays Hill-Knapps Lane-Village Hall
Sections may be very muddy and boggy so good footwear is strongly advised.
This walk will be subject to change if field conditions are poor and may be shortened if there is bad weather.
We could have good local views en route if the weather is good
All our welcome to come. Dogs can accompany you provided they are always kept on a lead. We try to arrange these monthly walks along our footpaths to clear the overgrowth on the footpaths and enjoy the scenery and each others’ company. If you have any secateurs etc. please free to bring them along – suitable gloves are advised if you are helping in this way. If you would like to take photographs as we go please can you send these to Mary Butler (email@example.com) for insertion on this website. Thanks
We monitor the paths and rights of way within the parish by monthly walks around different parts of the network. If you enjoy fresh air, exercise and good company join us for an hour or two on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 10.00a.m at Chaffcombe Village Hall, TA20 4BH. Just bring stout shoes, wellies, waterproofs and refreshments as required. Dogs can accompany you provided they are always kept on a lead.
Please send in your favourite walks of Chaffcombe Parish.
We will place them here on the website. You can also include your photographs.
