Next walk: TUESDAY 3rd DECEMBER starting from Chaffcombe Village Hall, TA20 4BH at 10.00 a.m. Weather permitting of course! Please wear suitable footwear as it may be very slippery and muddy!!!! All of our walks are voluntary and walkers walk with us at their own risk. No liability is accepted. The route we hope to take is:
Chaffcombe Village Hall-Court Farm-Gaylards Lane-Chaffombe Lane-Chard Nature Reserve footpath to Touches Lane-Avishayes Lane-West Lodge-Summer Lane-Chaffcombe Village Hall for festive coffee and mince pies.
Villagers with dogs should divert via Paintmoor Lane and rejoin at Avishayes Road to avoid walking through the Nature Reserve.
This walk will be subject to change if field conditions are poor and may be shortened if there is bad weather.
We could have good local views en route if the weather is good
We hope to be back at the Village Hall by 12.00 for a cuppa and mince pie!
This route may be subject to change and shortened if the weather is bad but because of the recent inclement weather we thought it may be prudent to keep out of fields as much as possible hence most of this walk will be via the roads.
All our welcome to come. Dogs can accompany you provided they are always kept on a lead. We try to arrange these monthly walks along our footpaths to clear the overgrowth on the footpaths and enjoy the scenery and each others’ company. If you have any secateurs etc. please free to bring them along – suitable gloves are advised if you are helping in this way. If you would like to take photographs as we go please can you send these to Mary Butler (firstname.lastname@example.org) for insertion on this website. Thanks
