Thanks to South Somerset District Council and Chaffcombe Parish Council

Repairs to the sills of the 3 large wooden windows to the rear of the Village Hall have recently been completed and the frames have been repainted. Two of these windows are original (ie more than 120 years old) and the other was designed and installed at the time of the major refurbishment in the late 1980’s. Lance Wallis has done an excellent job, and these windows should (with regular maintenance) now last for many years.
All the work (which has included new UPV windows for the kitchen/toilet area) for which the Village Hall was awarded a grant in 2012, from South Somerset District Council (of £1390) and Chaffcombe Parish Council (of £150) is now complete. The total cost of the work exceeded £3000, the balance being funded from money raised by the Village Hall
