On Weds June 5th over forty people enjoyed coffee, cake and pedal-powered fruit smoothies at the last Coffee morning of the season!
A total of £112.00 was taken in donations for the charity ‘Purple Field Productions’ -an educational filming project for the Developing World.
A note from Peter:
I thought you might like to share the latest from the “front”. Ingrid Hesling from Wivelicombe (who has been out filming for PFP a couple of times) and Colin Tonks from London (who has built the pedal powered cinema mentioned below and the pedal powered smoothie machine we used at the coffee morning) have just arrived in Malawi at the start of the first PFP pedal powered film showing trip, taking Elspeth’s films to the rural areas of Malawi.
This part of Africa is particularly poor, the lake is shrinking and fish stocks dropping and the area has big problems.
Coffee mornings will begin again in the Autumn at the Village Hall 10.30-12.00 Weds Oct 2nd.
In the meantime have a wonderful Summer!
