Title: Film Evening at Chaffcombe Village Hall at 7.30 p.m.
Location: Chaffcombe Village Hall, TA20 4BJ
Three films made by the Anorak Communications which is a group within Crewkerne U3A of five retired gentlemen who enjoy making films to as high a standard as their equipment and amateur status will allow are being shown at Chaffcombe Village Hall on Friday 28th June from 7.30 p.m. Refreshments will be served during the interval.
One is about the old Chard Canal (Chard to Creech St Michael)
One about how Rowland and Peter rescued the waterwheel and how it was restored here in Chaffcombe including interview with a member of the family of the Sparrows who made the wheel in 1890.
And one about the Lost Cinemas in the South West (information about the old cinemas we once had and enjoyed in this area)
We are asking for a donation of £2 at the door and will have refreshments in the interval (tea/coffee and cakes).
