The Chaffcombe Monthly Walk
Monday 4th March. Come along and see for yourself our beautiful village and the snowdrops and daffodils everywhere, in the hedgerows and lanes.
Our walks are open to all. These walks are voluntary and walkers walking with us do so at their own risk. No liability is accepted. They are easy, slow pace walks and traverse easy terrain. There is no charge and the walk will be led by Tony Gray, Chaffcombe/Chard Footpath Officer.
If you are travelling please let us know if you are planning to join us, there is parking available at the village hall car park.
Dogs are welcome so long as they are on a lead. We try to cut back any growth obstructing the stiles so, if you can, please bring any tool you may have. You would be advised to wear suitable gloves for doing this.
We are not sure of the route we will take – it depends on the state of the paths and the weather but we anticipate walking the following route:
Chaffcombe Village Hall – Whitemore Hill – Lydmarsh Farm – through yard – Fields up to Young Copse- across the Golf Course and either Knapps Lane or Cricket Cross down Sprays Hill back to Chaffcombe.
See you all at the Chaffcombe Village Hall on the 4th March at 10.00 a.m.
