We have been busy at the Nature Reserve building a plane to go into the Play Area, still in the construction phase but now  leaving a bit of time to think of other things, particularly Village Walks. 

Don’t worry, there will be no daredevil pilot swooping over the village, this plane is made out of solid reclaimed oak and will be difficult to move once assembled.

This is what is planned for this walk:-

Chaffcombe Village Footpath Walk 30th October  2025 at 10.00 am

Village Hall – Knapps Lane (E) – drop down into the stream and along banking to field –  along edge of field boundary to Summer Lane – across Court Farm and other fields to Gaylards Lane – across Walscombe Farm fields and behind Little Paintmoor to Paintmoor Lane – Paintmoor Lane (N) – to Chaffcombe Lane and Village Hall.

I have kept the walk shortish as the weather forecast is not brilliant. We should be prepared for wet conditions underfoot and some light cutting back may be required.
