Dear all

I am planning a pre-Easter walk (not too foolishly I hope) in the hope that what is currently forecast as showery weather will turn out better on the day, as it did last month.

This is what could be in prospect:-

Village Hall – Chaffcombe Lane (west) – Rose Cottage – Gaylards Lane – across fields (if free of cows) to Paintmore Lane – down to Avishayes Road – West Lodge – Avishays House – Whitemore Hill – Summer Lane – Village Hall

As foliage is begining to grow again we should walk armed for any minor cutting back that may be required and wearing best boots, as it could be very wet underfoot.
