Defibrillator Demonstration

25th February at 7:30 pm

Visitors to Chaffcombe Village Hall will have noticed that there is a new addition in the entrance. A sign outside the Hall advises its presence. It can be used in the event of a heart attack and may save lives.

A Defibrillator (defib)

The defib has been located, so that it is accessible to residents living local to the Hall and of course for Village Hall Users. The defib is portable, so can be transported and used at nearby locations.

The emergency services will shortly be made aware of the presence of the defib at the Hall and will be able to provide its location to callers.

On Tuesday 25 February, at 7:30 pm in The Village Hall, Clive Adams of Chard Defibrillator Group (a local voluntary group who raise funds for defibrillator placements in the Chard Area) will be demonstrating how to use the defib and will answer questions you may have.

Local Residents/Hall Users are strongly encouraged to attend. It is expected to take around 1 hour. Hot and soft cold drinks will be available at the start of the event.

We need to get an idea of numbers attending. Please advise Mike Miles by phone or email if you plan to come.
